Fall Canvas

Pinterest is way to addicting! In a good way!
I pinned great fall canvases then decided to do one!

Heres how it went......

So I pulled way to much stuff out to collage with...

Don't know what I was thinking!

I didn't use most of it! 

Have you ever seen Candice Olsen on HGTV 

when she made a tray of colors and fabrics... 

well needless to say I am no Candice Olsen!

  I started with a ready to go canvas....

I think I bought way to many on sale at AC Moore! 

Sketched on the canvas

I have there chipboard letters I wanted to use...

Another live & Learn moment! I should have waited to attach them,

oh well maybe next time!

Off course I glued them down!

Used modeling paste with a stencil for some background texture..

Used deli papers that I created for the pumpkins...

Added paint to the pumpkins...

Started on the background....

Cool blue in the background.....

Some green swirls....

Collaged on the leaves...added color to the letters..

Some black ink & paint

and...done!!!!

Waiting to put it on the fireplace mantel,

Have to say this isn't such a great shot, 

the colors look so much better in person!

Any helpful photo hints?

I usually try to shoot things on an overcast day....

but that doesn't happen everyday!!!
