at this point I thought I was done...
but nope!!
Just wasn't happy!

So beautiful! When you say "blocking the image"...do you draw it first and cut it out to use like a mask? thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, thanks for stopping by! I blocked out the image from the background by loosely sketching it with white paint then filling it in with white paint. The paint wasn't totally opaque, which i liked, you could still see the background coming through. Then i began adding color to the negative space of the canvas ( the background) then went back to the flower and vase. Hope that explains it!! Have a great weekend!!

What medium do you put in the fine-tip bottle that you use for outlining?
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, In the bottle is a mixture of black acrylic paint and airbrush medium. It thins it enough to go through the fine tip applicator. Thanks for stopping by!!
