HERE

there's no place like your own backyard....

For this prompt I went straight to the backyard...

while the kids swam i played!!!

inspiration...

again i chose to create the page on a separate piece 

of paper then add it into the journal...

i don't like the way the paper handles the watercolor...

the supplies....

testing my supplies!!!

i ended up using a mix of both...

i painted first...no pre-drawing...

just paint....

my arrangement is a little different from the pictures...

but as the artist you get to arrange!!

But I definitely wanted to put the fence behind it..

just liked the way it looked...

next stabillo pencil and water...

one of my favorite pencils!!

then a little black pen...

some writing & border design...

then added it into the journal for the next step...

shading & journaling to the edges...

and finally done....

for something that looks so simple it has a lot of steps!!
